Directly above the waves of Ionio Beach is one of the best restaurants on the island, established in 1974. Take in the sea views wherever you choose to sit.
Over the years the Ionio has created a steady drive for good traditional Zakynthian cuisine and customer service. Resulting in regular customers, and a continual replenishing of tastes that have left lingering memories with connoisseurs of good food.
The cooking at the Ionio is a combination of traditional recipes and the best quality ingredients. The menu has approximately fifty inviting “mezedes” or appetizers, rich salads made from fresh vegetables and main dishes guaranteed to please the finest palettes.
To whet the appetite, you are recommended to try the “bourekakia”, cheese croquets and tuna salad from the list of appetizers.
When choosing your main course you will surely be making a difficult decision, as all the dishes compete with each other, lamb roll, “briam”, “lemonato”, “little shoes ” and a number of other tasty recommendations.
Other recommendations include oven-baked aubergines, pasticcio and mousakka.
The wine cellar provides local wine and labels from well-known producers.

The Ionio serves food from 8am until midnight.
